Drive through the village of Wolsingham. After Wolsingham take the next left signposted to Kingfisher Holiday Park. Drive over the river and over the tourist railway and keep going up the track then follow the signs to Weardale Outdoor. Click on Map Link on the bottom of the page for a map The Team: Gordon Parker - Managing Director The owner of the Estate and lifelong farmer. Educated in Agriculture at Askham Bryan College he has farmed across Yorkshire his whole life and spends most of his time running the farms in Yorkshire. He has active involvement in the strategic management of the Centre and the Estate in County Durham. William Parker BSc (Hons) - Estate Manager and Education Co-ordinator William runs the day-to-day management of the Estate and the Centre. He was educated at Harper Adams and studied Land Managment. He has worked on a variety of Estates across England and Scotland. He liaises with and co-ordinates all schools and visitor groups regarding their visit to the Centre. He also gets involved in some of the activity days. In his spare time he is an ACF Officer and also serving in the Territorial Army. James Dil - Rural Skills Course Co-ordinator James is responsible for planning and co-ordinating the LANTRA courses and any other adult training. James is also actively involved in delivering some of the activity days. In addition to this he is also responsible for the Game Keeping and Pest Management on the Estate. In his spare time he enjoys surfing, rowing and scuba diving. Keith Hutchings - Freelance Instructor Keith has a wealth of experience in running and facilitating teambuilding events. He conducts 4x4 and ATV courses here on the Estate. He also runs any Quad Biking, Clay Shooting and Archery Days. Chris Hutchings - Freelance Instructor Chris works with his father Keith and also has a great deal of experience in offroading and teambuilding. Chris is also responsible for instructing 4x4 and ATV Courses here. Chris also provides additional support for teambuilding activity days. Peter Cook - Freelance Instructor Peter is responsible for conducting and leading all the Mountain Biking Expeditions that originate from the centre through his wolsingham based business. Peter has a great deal of qualifications and experience in leading and conducting such expeditions. Mick Garratt - Freelance Instructor Mick is a Mountain Leader and is available to supervise your expedition groups. He is an approved National Navigation Awards Instructor who is responsible for conducting the NNA awards here at the centre. He has a keen interest in orienteering, fellwalking, sea kayaking, windsurfing and mountain biking. Emma Newsome BA(Hons) - Freelance Instructor Emma is based in Harrogate and has a degree in Adventure Education from Chichester University. She is a keen Mountain Leader and Kayak instructor and has an array of experience from across the world and has completed several competition triathalons and mountain marathons. Emma is involved in delivery of adventure training and teambuilding days. |
