The Weardale Outdoor Centre and Coves House Grounds are available for hire for functions, parties etc.

The rural setting and stunning views are ideal for a variety of functions. Whether you are looking to host a charity dinner, childrens party or even a wedding, the Weardale Outdoor Centre offers an affordable venue with complete privacy.

To hire the centre for a function is as little as £150 plus VAT for the Day/evening. The list below shows the breakdown of prices for individual rooms. Max venue capacity 50 people. Space for additional marquees.

One Room: £60 per day
Two Rooms: £100 per day
IT Suite Only (4 PC Stations): £80 per day
Use of the whole Centre: £150 per day

Half day prices are exactly half that of the listed price above. Am sessions run from 9am-1pm. PM sessions run from 1pm-5pm. AM sessions must vacate the room in good time in order to allow a PM session to enter on time. Any AM sessions that run overtime will be charged for the remainder of the day.

Function Add ons:

Catering: Ranges from as little as £5 per head for a buffet or upto £40 per head for three course dinner.
Bar: £400 plus VAT for a full bar with 2 bar staff.
DJ: £120 plus VAT.
Wine: Extensive wine list on offer with 200 wines, champagnes and spirits. Sale or return provided. Wine supplied by Yorkshire Vintners.
Wine Advice & Tasting: Provided by Durham Wine & Butler Services
Butler/Master of Ceremony: £15 per hour.
Waitresses: By separate negotiation. 

Prices are in addition to VAT. A Loyalty Scheme is offered to businesses and organisations that wish to use the Centre more than ten times per year. The Loyalty scheme offers discounts of 10% on everything except catering.
