Booking ConditionsBOOKINGAll parties with Weardale Outdoor (part of Sibling Ltd) are to be booked in advance through the main office. Any changes to the initial booking form must be notified at least 1 week before the booked day. Weardale Outdoor reserves the right not to accept certain changes from the booking form prior to this date. All parties must sign a booking form and accept that they will also be required to sign a legal disclaimer declaring their willingness to partake in the activities. Weardale Outdoor will not hold dates for clients unless a booking form has been completed and the deposit has been paid in full. Main Office Details: Weardale Outdoor Wolsingham Bishop Auckland County Durham DL13 3BG PAYMENT OF INVOICES All parties will satisfy their payment of the invoice prior to the event either by cash or by cheque. Cheques will only be accepted at least 7 working days before the day of the event. All invoices are to be paid in full within 30 days of creation unless agreed in writing by Weardale Outdoor. All Cheques to be made payable to Sibling Limited or paid by Online Transfer. Please make sure you put the invoice number on the Payment Reference and email Weardale Outdoor to confirm receipt of payment. VALUE ADDED TAX All invoices for Weardale Outdoor Activities are subject to 17.5% VAT. Centre Hire is in addition to VAT. A VAT receipt will be issued as part of the Remittance Slip on each invoice. CANCELLATIONThe client foregoes the deposit if they cancel their booking after signing and submitting the booking form. If the client postpones their booking, then the deposit will be retained until such a day arises. The deposits are based on a tier level and are as follows: < £100 = £50 Deposit £100-500 = £100 Deposit £500-1,000 = £150 Deposit >£1,000 = £250 Deposit DISCLAIMER All participants will be required to sign a legal disclaimer declaring their willingness and fitness to partake in all activities. Under 18’s will also be required to provide a parental consent form and the Group Leader will be required to sign a legal disclaimer on behalf of the group. RISK ASSESSMENTS All activity days at Weardale Outdoor have risk assessments carried out prior to the day. The RA may fall under a generic assessment, or be specific to the day. If you require a copy of the Risk Assessments, please ask when booking. The group leader will be required to sign a Daily Risk Assessment to take into account any changes in ground conditions and weather. AGE LIMITSWeardale Outdoor has strict age limits for certain activities. These must be adhered to at all times. Weardale Outdoor reserved the right to ask participants to show their proof of age if necessary before partaking in some activities. The following age limits apply: Weapons – 14 years and over Off Road Passenger – 14 year and over Off Road Driver – 25 years with Full Manual Driving Licence PROOF OF QUALIFICATION Weardale Outdoor must see a copy of the driver’s Full Manual Driving Licence before they are permitted to drive the Land Rover. SUPERVISION OF GROUPSAll parties with an organised Youth Group (including Schools) must provide permanent supervision of their group. This includes permanent female cover if there are females under 18 years old within the group. Weardale Outdoor will provide a Driver in case of an emergency. FIRST AID All First Aid will be administered by Weardale Outdoor staff that are qualified to do so. The party may be required to complete an accident form and witness statements to any accident. A safety vehicle with stretcher will be present on all activity days. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT Weardale Outdoor will provide the necessary PPE for dangerous activities. However, it is the responsibility of all participants to arrive with Ankle Supporting Footwear for all activities. Weardale Outdoor reserves the right to prevent certain participants from partaking if they do not posses appropriate footwear. PERSONAL PROPERTYWeardale Outdoor does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal equipment and property of any kind and we strongly encourage you to purchase personal insurance for any valuable items. All possessions that are brought and left unattended are left at your own risk. CRIMINAL RECORDS CHECKS All Weardale Outdoor Staff have been CRB cleared to work without supervision with vulnerable parties including the young, old and disabled. Proof of these checks can be provided upon request. ACCESSWeardale Outdoor Centre is accessed via a single farm track; the speed limit is strictly 10mph and 5mph in farm steadings. Drivers must be aware of farm traffic and be courteous to other users of the road. The road is suitable for cars, however, Weardale Outdoor or any other related parties do not accept responsibility for any damage to your vehicle that may occur on the access. DAMAGESIn signing these terms you agree to pay the full costs of repairing any damages to the land, property or possessions of Sibling Ltd that are directly or indirectly caused by the intended or unintended actions of yourself or members of your group. The costs of which will be determined by Sibling Ltd and payable immediately after the works have been carried out. |
