Adventurous Training

At the Weardale Outdoor Centre we can arrange for Adventurous Training Days to be added to your visit. Please read below for the activities that can be arranged and prices. Please do not hesitate to contact the office if you wish to partake in one of these activities. All activities are conducted by AALA Licenced Consett YMCA and take place on sites around Weardale or here at the Centre.


Mobile Climbing Wall  
Open Canoeing
Kayaking
Bushcraft
Rockclimbing
Abseiling
Gorgewalking
Caving
Orienteering (£10 per person plus VAT upto 20 people) 
Archery (£20 per person plus VAT upto 10 people)

Each Activity is £350 plus VAT per day and can take up to 10 people unless otherwise stated. Minibus Transport can be provided by YMCA Drivers. All activities are conducted by trained, licenced YMCA instructors. Some activities are dependent on river levels and risks on the day.

NEW!!!! Learn to Fence. No, not the form of perimeter, but the sport. For £45 per hour, get taught how to fence by an Olympic Fencing Coach.


MOUNTAIN BIKING TREKS
In conjunction with Dale Bike Hire, we can arrange for Mountain Biking Expedition to be put on for your visit, either based here from the centre or on a route near you. Dale Bike Hire has 27 bikes for hire for a range of ages. The prices are as follows:
£17 per bike per person per day.
Additional £85 for a qualified Instructor
Adult:Student ratio must be 1:10 including the Instructor.
Prices in addition to VAT.


ADVENTUROUS TRAINING COURSES:
If you are interested in gaining a qualification in some of the above activities, then please contact the office at the Weardale Outdoor Centre. We will shortly be hosting vocational courses in a range of outdoor activities in conjunction with the YMCA. We will soon be publishing a list of all the available training courses and prices.
