Adventurous Activities

kayaking.jpgAt the Weardale Outdoor Centre we can arrange for Adventurous Activity Days to be added to your visit. Please read below for the activities that can be arranged and prices. Please do not hesitate to contact the office if you wish to partake in one of these activities. All activities are conducted by AALA Licenced contractors and take place on sites around Weardale or here at the Centre.






Full Day Activities: £45 per person (minimum 4 people. Max 10 people.)

Lunch and Refreshments can be provided at extra cost. Activities include equipment use and tuition and are suitable for all standards and experience.

mountain_biking2.jpgMOUNTAIN BIKING TREKS
In conjunction with Dale Bike Hire, we can arrange for Mountain Biking Expedition to be put on for your visit, either based here from the centre or on a route near you. Dale Bike Hire has 27 bikes for hire for a range of ages. The prices are as follows:
£17 per bike per person per day.
Additional £85 for a qualified Instructor
Adult:Student ratio must be 1:10 including the Instructor.
Prices in addition to VAT.



NATIONAL NAVIGATION AWARD SCHEME COURSES:
We offer the following NNAS and YNAS courses conducted by a qualified Mountain Leader. Prices do not include accommodation.

Bronze NNAS Award: £60 per person inc VAT. (4-6 people only). 2 Day Course.
Silver NNAS Award: £60 per person inc VAT. (4-6 people only). 2 Day Course.
Young Navigation Award (Bronze, Silver & Gold): £200 inc VAT (Upto 10 students). 1 Day Course.

Prices do not include catering. Courses cover progressive map and compass training, risk awareness and expedition preparation. The courses are an ideal pre-requisite to Duke of Edinburgh.
